Built to rugged military specs, and used by USSOCOM, the MRDS was designed to aid rapid target acquisition at close combat distances. Its small footprint, low-power consumption, and auto/manual dot intensity adjustment with four brightness levels provide high visibility in all lighting conditions. It also features ease of operation over its competitors with capabilities such as a top-loading battery compartment that allows change-out without the need for sight removal or loss of zero. The positive click adjusters provide 1 MOA per click windage and elevation correction, ensuring quick and accurate sight alignment without the guesswork.

The MRDS supports a variety of mounting options:

  • Projected 3.5 MOA red aiming dot
  • 1 MOA per click windage and elevation adjustment
  • Auto-adjust dot intensity
  • Manual dot intensity with four brightness levels
  • Waterproof to 66 ft. (20 m)
  • Meets MIL-STD requirements
  • Top-load battery with up to one year runtime
  • Fits other mini-sight mounts

Will the HWS hold zero as temperature changes?

EOTech's sights will experience a point of impact shift away from the point of aim when the sight is used at a temperature different from the temperature at which the sight was zeroed. This shift is greater the more extreme the temperature change. For example, when a sight is zeroed at 70°F then acclimated to 50°F, less shift will occur. On the other hand, if zeroed at 70°F, then acclimated to 0°F, more shift could occur. The maximum shift will occur at temperature extremes and could be up to 5 MOA. Therefore, to acheive optimum accuracy, the sight should be re-zeroed whenever the temperature changes markedly from the temperature at which the sight was zeroed.
