Firearm Purchases

(Updated 1/27/2015)

Q: Why did Atlantic Tactical change it’s policy to only allow gun sales to Public Safety personnel?

A: Given our small volume of commercial gun sales and the high cost of liability insurance, we have decided to not renew our commercial gun dealer agreements. We will continue to do business under our Law Enforcement dealer agreements which limit sales to Public Safety personnel. This category includes Fire, EMS, Active and Retired Military with Retired Credentials, Licensed Security Officers, Judges, District Attorneys as well as Active and Retired Law Enforcement officers with Retired Credentials.

NOTE:

This policy is subject to state and local firearms laws and regulations. Please know your local and state laws and regulations pertaining to purchase and ownership of firearms.

Firearm Shipping Fees are variable and based on order total and may be subject to an additional $30 handling fee.

NOTE: We do not ship firearms/weapons to California, Hawaii or Alaska.
NOTE: We will only ship ammunition to the lower 48 continental United States.

There are two ways to order firearms:

  1. If you are a department wishing to purchase a weapon for the departments use:
    • An ORIGINAL purchase order. You can fax us one to get the order rolling, but we'll need the original to be able to ship the weapon.
    • An original letter on department letterhead that contains the following information:
      • The weapon will be owned by the department and will be paid with department funds.
      • The letter must grant Atlantic Tactical permission to ship the weapon to the department
      • It must be signed by the Chief of the department or unit
        • Some departments may also need the signature of the Mayor
    • Some orders may need a BATF Exemption Certificate.
  2. If you are an individual looking to purchase a duty weapon:
    • All personal gun purchases must be picked up in one of our authorized retail store OR shipped to an FFL weapons dealer for the proper paperwork to be completed.

Atlantic Tactical is committed to provide the best service possible in your firearm purchase. We will follow the laws that govern firearm transfer in your locality.
