Sig Sauer P229, 9mm, Legion
The Sig Sauer P229 is essentially a smaller version of the legendary P226, and walks the line between a concealed carry piece and a service pistol. Since its introduction in 1989, the variations of P229 have been used by Law Enforcement Professionals, Militaries, and Government Agents including the U.S. Secret Service. Sig Sauer upgraded this renowned design to create the P226 Elite. This highly versatile pistol comes equipped with SIGLITE sights for accurate shooting in low light conditions, as well as a slimmer and highly ergonomic E2 grip for enhanced control and concealability. Other improvements include a short reset trigger and a sleek, black finish.

- Law Enforcement or Peace Officers – any officer of a governmental agency who is sworn and authorized by law to engage in or to supervise the prevention, detection, investigation, the prosecution of, or incarceration of, any person for any violation of law or other law enforcement or peace-keeping activities (such as Police Officers, Law Enforcement Academy Cadets, Corrections Officers, Judges, District Attorneys, Deputy District Attorneys, Federal Flight Deck Officers, Fish and Wildlife Officers)
- First Responders – employee of a governmental agency or private company contracted by government agencies authorized to engage in public safety activities or emergency medical services (such as Firefighters, Volunteer Firefighters, EMTs, Paramedics)
- Active-Duty Military with the U.S. Armed Forces and Coast Guard, including Reserves or Auxiliary (with current military credentials)
- Retired Military (Honorably Discharged with credentials, such as DD214)
- Retired Law Enforcement or Peace Officers (such as Retired Police Officers, Retired Corrections Officers, Retired Judges, Retired District Attorneys, Retired Deputy District Attorneys, Retired Federal Flight Deck Officers, Retired Fish and Wildlife Officers)
- Other Public Safety Professionals authorized to use or handle Firearms in commission of work or service to U.S. federal, state or local government agency (such as Investigative Field Agents, Crime Scene Investigators, Civilian Quartermasters or Firearms Custodians, Law Enforcement or Corrections Trainers, Senior Administrators, Concealed Carry Instructors, Wildlife and Forestry Officers and Officials)
- Private Security Firms – lawfully licensed or registered private security company or employees authorized to carry firearms and, where applicable, maintain the requisite state permit for carrying firearms
